This division focuses on issues of community-wide interest that impact the economics and the quality of life of Coral Gables businesses.
A) Business & Education | Lisa Albizu-Vazquez, WOW Center & Sergio Tigera, Games Changers Consulting
Supports education, promotes business engagement, and builds positive awareness of our local schools through programs that involve and connect students and school faculty with our business community.
B) Rising Professionals | Iancarlo Arispe, Florida State Day Celebration
The Rising Professionals (formerly the 20/30 Group) provides a platform for emerging leaders within the Chamber to further develop leadership and entrepreneurial skills, build their circle of influence, contribute to the Coral Gables community, and to have fun! Provides younger professionals of the Chamber with access to a core group of like-minded leaders from which to broaden their network and expand their businesses. They host a monthly networking event, Wind Down Wednesday, the annual Rising Star Awards, and The Chairman’s Roast in August.
C) Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee | Alexander Dopazo, Dopazo & Associates Insurance Services
Meets monthly to discuss diversity, equity, and inclusion goals, initiatives, and partnerships. Seeks out and initiates opportunities to collaborate with other Chamber committees on educational panel discussions, seminars, and discuss best practices and legislation impacting businesses of all sizes.
D) Women’s Business Network | Tana Linares, Brand Poets
Meets monthly to organize luncheons featuring informative and engaging speakers that empower women with the latest opportunities for business, self-improvement, and family. Established as a platform to make business contacts. Hosts the annual Businesswomen of the Year Awards in March.
E) Equitable Advisors Businesswomen of the Year Awards |
Developed to recognize women in the community who demonstrate excellence in their business or profession, as well as a commitment to serving as role models for other women. Any woman living or working in Miami-Dade County or who is member of the Chamber is eligible to be honored.
