Division Vice Chair | Zachariah Evangelista, Ser & Associates, PLLC

This division is charged with improving and fostering services and programs that create new business and provide opportunities for expansion of existing business. Identifies and encourages emerging industries that are compatible with Coral Gables.

A) Travel & Tourism | Elizabeth Nourse, Truluck’s Oceans Finest

Provides updates on the state of the tourism & hospitality industry. Promotes Coral Gables as a premier destination for visitors and advocates for the tourism industry.

B) Small Business Committee | Jose Hernandez, Valley National Bank

Offers members educational tools and seminars that allow them to maximize their success, as well as develop leadership skills to benefit their business’ performance. Hosts a monthly IMPACT Seminar and activations coordinating with Small Business Saturday (November) and National Small Business Week (May), including our annual Summit.

C) Restaurant Committee | Sade Bob, Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse

A platform for local restaurants and industry professionals within the Chamber to meet, discuss, and build relationships. The committee meets at different eateries in our community to allow an opportunity to showcase fellow Chamber member establishments. The committee provides support to our annual restaurant-centric events such as: Burgerliscious, New Years Networker, Wind Down Wednesday, and more!

D) Health Care Committee | Sara M. Hernandez, First Citizens Ban

A committee comprised of members from the health care industry and its allied partners who are focused on issues in wellness and health care policy as well as healthy living and related topics.

E) Real Estate Committee | Gabriel Quiroga, Compass & Mercy Lux, Seacoast Construction

Organizes events related to both commercial and residential Real Estate, including a Broker’s Reception and other industry focused workshops.

F) Diamond Award

Celebrates all that sparkles about local business! Categories are for Large Business, Small Business, Diamond-in-the-Rough, Non-Profit Organization, Hospitality Entity, Retailer, Global Business, Family-Owned Business, Woman-Owned Business, Healthcare Organization, Technology Company, Sustainable Business. Participating businesses should be located in Coral Gables or be a member of the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce.
